The Resume

    Birth name is Alejandro Rose-Garcia

Released the albums 'Roll the Bones' (2011), 'Donor Blues' (2012), 'And the War Came' (2014), and 'Nobody's Fool' (2015)

Why he might be annoying:

He was a contestant on the Discovery Kids reality competition show 'Endurance.'
His trademark is his one-man-band setup, usually thumping a kickdrum made from an old Samsonite.
He came up with his stage name during the Old Settler's Music Festival when he and his friends jokingly gave each other Indian guide names over a campfire.
Some of his musical arrangements can only be described as downright bizarre (e.g. doing a American-Heavy Metal covers of Disney songs 'Kiss the Girl' and 'A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes').
He has struggled to attain crossover appeal outside of the Texas-based Folk/Country genre after his early string of successes.

Why he might not be annoying:

He had a role on several episodes of Friday Night Lights as a lifeguard.
His self-released debut album ranked near the top of Bandcamp’s digital best-seller charts for over three years.
Most of his debut album featured him playing music unaccompanied.
He is able to shift seamlessly from acoustic to electric performances during concerts.
He is known for rarely playing the same song twice, usually ad-libbing songs while feeding off of audience enthusiasm.
His 'Dearly Departed' song tends to turn up on surveys compiled of the most popular Halloween playlist songs.
He won the Best Emerging Artist award at the Americana Music Awards (2015).
He also received nominations for Album of the Year and Song of the Year, tying with Lucinda Williams and Sturgill Simpson for the most Americana award nominations.
His local popularity in his native Texas is so strong that the Mayor of Austin initiated 'Shakey Graves Day' on February 9, 2012 (usually involving a free concert, laser tag, and his music being made available on Bandcamp for pay-what-you-want prices).
