    Her divorce resulted in her husband's loss of his business assets in Uzbekistan.
    New Jersey placed an arrest warrant on her for child abduction.
    State media called her the 'Princess of Uzbeks.'
    Her ex-husband accused her of embezzlement of state funds and association with a prostitution ring.

    She is an ambitious businesswoman, owning nightclubs, a jewelry design business and even a cement factory.
    She was finally given custody of her kids (July 9, 2008).
    She got a Master of Arts from Harvard and a PhD in political science from University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Tashkent.
    She is now an honorary member of the Cercle Diplomatique de Geneve, meaning 'Diplomatic Circle of Geneva' (February 19, 2009).
    She is popular in Uzbekistan.
