    Its economy primarily relies on both the fishing and lumber industries.
    It suffered significant damage during the 1906 earthquake.
    It was a target for residents calling to rename it, due to the fact it was named after <26521>Braxton Bragg It has notorious fog spells, due to its location along the Pacific Coast.
    It has dry summers, with little to no rainfall on top of that.
    It was home to Glass Beach, which got its name after residents threw their garbage off a cliff, prior to 1967.
    Most people know it as being the fictional seaside town of Elk Cove, Oregon from the 1987 film ‘Overboard.’

Why Fort Bragg, California might not be annoying:

    It has some great scenery, due to its location along the Pacific Ocean.
    Glass Beach became a popular tourist attraction, due to the sea glass that was established over the years at the old dump site.
    It was considered an important mill town during the early 20th century.
    Its balmy weather year-round makes it a decent place to live.
    If you are a fan of the movie ‘Overboard,’ you can take a tour of Noyo Harbor, where a good portion of the movie’s scenes were filmed.
    The famed Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens are located here.
