    He reportedly said: 'there's no statistical evidence of racism in the criminal justice system.'
    He championed increased incarceration.
    With the Mueller investigation in full swing, critics were concerned about his views on executive power.
    He was also criticized, by some, for having a history of strong anti-immigration points of view.

    He earned his J.D. from George Washington University School of Law.
    He served as Executive Vice President for Verizon Communications.
    He's a 'top grade' bagpiper who served as a board member for the U.S. Piping Foundation.
    In being considered for Attorney General in 2019, he indicated his views on increased incarceration may have softened a tiny bit.
