They are often erroneously described as fraternity brothers who got together to play keggers. Actually, at the time of their big hit, most of the band members were in high school.
    They were one hit wonders.
The chorus of their one hit is a falsetto voice chanting the children's rhyme 'Liar, liar pants on fire/Your nose is longer than a telephone wire.'
Hensley said about their follow-ups, 'I've had people come up to me with Castaway records that I didn't even know were released.'
They recorded 'Liar, Liar' to get better gigs around town and were shocked when it became a national hit.
They had not actually signed a contract with the label that released 'Liar, Liar,' so as Craswell noted, 'We could've signed with anybody, but we didn't know any better. We were only like fifteen years old.'
'Liar, Liar' was featured in the films 'Good Morning, Vietnam' and 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.'
Craswell joined the band Crow and scored another Top 20 hit with 'Evil Woman Don't Play Your Games With Me.'
