U.S. Congressman
    (February 11, 1931-May 22, 2010)
    Born in Harveysburg, Ohio
Birth name was Donald Edgar Lukens
    Represented Ohio's 24th (1967-71) and 8th (1987-90) districts
Member of the Ohio State Senate (1971-87)
He was convicted on misdemeanor charges of 'contributing to the delinquency of a minor' for paying a 16-year-old girl $40 for sex (May 26, 1989).
He refused to resign after his conviction, eventually losing the primary election to John Boehner.
While serving as a lame duck after the primary, he was accused of fondling a Congressional elevator operator, finally resigning when the Ethics Committee started investigating (October 24, 1990).
He was sentenced to 30 months in prison after being convicted of accepting a $15,000 bribe (1996).
After the underage sex scandal broke, Dan Quayle accidentally introduced Buzz Aldrin as Buz Lukens.
He served in the Air Force, rising to captain over six and a half years of active duty (1954-60).
An FBI investigation concluded that he did not try to bribe the mother of the 16-year-old girl.
A grand jury decided there was insufficient evidence to bring charges on allegations that he had started the affair when the girl was only 13.
