Why she might be annoying:

Her saving a diver's life made the human supervisors at the event look bad.
Her heroic rescue provides evidence that some animals may be more intelligent than humans (further making people look bad).

Why she might not be annoying:

She was in the 20 foot deep pool at Polar Land where competitors had to sink to the bottom of the pool without breathing equipment and stay there for as long as they could.
One sunken diver, Yang Yun, became (temporarily) paralyzed by the water's cold temperature and was unable to move herself back to the water's surface.
The whale spotted her difficulty and gently used her mouth and nose to push the diver back to the surface.
After the incident, she became recognized as a hero for preventing a diver from drowning.
