    He turned down a Rhodes Scholarship application to pursue a football career.
    He was nicknamed 'Y.A. Tittle of the North' by Canadian football pundits.
    Despite being considered an Ottawa sports legend, he accepted the head coaching position for the rival Argonauts.
    He posted a 12-18-2 record in two seasons with the Argonauts.
    He said in regards to his head coaching experience 'I found it difficult to see certain things that I couldn't control. It was very frustrating for me.'
