    His newsletter chastised the Teletubbies by claiming Tinky Winky was gay.
    His newsletter later claimed that 'Lilith Fair' was named after a demon.
    He is a co-founder of The Moral Majority (The Religious Right).
    He was pro-censorship.
    He said that George W. Bush should move more to the conservative side since he received the majority of the votes (Gore actually won the popular vote-2000).
    He hid his homophobia and hatred behind Christianity.
    He sold junk under the guise that it is for a donation.
    Liberty University sends tons of unsolicited junk mail.
    He helped promote the stereotype that all christians are fundementalists.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He had a large flock of followers who loyally support him.
    As he got older his extreme opinions softened.
