    (May 25, 1882-October 9, 1956)
    Born in Duncannon, Pennsylvania
Birth name was Marie Katharine Steward
Appeared in the films 'The White Pearl' (1915), 'The Wood Nymph' (1916), 'The Heart of Nora Flynn' (1916), 'Oliver Twist' (1916), 'Castles for Two' (1917), 'Heart's Desire' (1917), 'Midnight Gambols' (1919), 'Beatrice' (1921) and 'Sally Bishop' (1924)

Many of her films are lost.
She had a brief marriage of convenience with vaudeville actor Elliott Dexter.
She would change hotels four times a week to avoid fans and friends.
She became a recluse after her acting career ended.
Charle Chaplin called her his first love and said she was 'devastatingly beautiful.'
She was considered an expert on Shakespeare and Elizabethan poetry.
Although Hollywood forgot about her, she remembered Hollywood: in her will, she left $90,000 to the Actors' Fund.
