Vocalists
    (1963-1968)
    Born in Los Angeles, California
Consisted of sisters Carol and Terry Fischer and Sally Gordon
Recorded the single 'Popsicles and Icicles' (1963)
They admitted that they were not sure why they spelled their name with a 'u.' (Carol suspected it was a misspelling with no deeper meaning.)
    They were one-hit wonders.
Although the three members went back to school in less than a year, their record label continued to use the 'Murmaids' name for singles recorded by other singers.
'Popsicles and Icicles' was the first hit written by David Gates, the future frontman for Bread.
Terry later noted, 'Everyone else got paid. [Producer] Kim Fowley got paid. The musicians got paid. We were paid nothing.'
Terry performed with Sam Butera and the Witnesses when they were the opening act for Frank Sinatra's 'Ol Blue Eyes Is Back' tour (1973).
