Sports Executive
    (November 21, 1927-January 18, 2008)
    Born in St. Louis, Missouri
    Birth name was Georgia Irwin
    Owner of the Rams (1979-2008)
Moved the team from Los Angeles to St. Louis (1995)
    She was married seven times.
After inheriting the Rams from her late husband, Carroll Rosenbloom, she fired Rosenbloom's son Steven from the front office.
Rosenbloom had reportedly wanted Steven to run the team and only left the Rams to Georgia in his will to take advantage of a tax loophole.
Rams media guides shaved a decade off her age.
Her last husband was convicted of scalping Super Bowl tickets she had given him.
When she moved the Rams to St. Louis, Los Angeles Times columnist Mike Downey wrote, 'She took one of the great organizations in sports, turned it into a national joke, then packed up her circus tent and hit the road.'
She was co-host on the 'Today' show for several months in the 50s.
She was the first woman to own a NFL team.
When attendance dropped to under 50,000 a game before the team relocated, she noted, 'If [L.A. fans] really care about the team, then they should be there, not giving up.'
She was a patron of operas, symphonies and the zoo in St. Louis.
