    (January 6, 1969-September 21, 2019)
    Born in Hollywood, California
Portrayed Nog in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Also appeared in ‘Amityville 4: The Evil Escapes’ (1989), ‘The Horror Show’ (1989), ‘Beverly Hill Brats’ (1989), ‘Puppet Master III: Toulon’s Revenge’ (1991) and ‘Pterodactyl Woman from Beverly Hills’ (1995)
Co-hosted the Star Trek podcast ‘The 7th Rule’
Due to his short height, he usually portrayed characters younger than his actual age.
He claimed the producers of DS9 never told him their long-term plans for Nog: ‘I thought every episode I was doing might be my last episode.’
The most common question he gets asked by DS9 fans: How long did it take to apply his Ferengi makeup? (Answer: one and a half hours.)
He was born with only one partially functioning kidney, which limited his growth to 5 feet.
He underwent one kidney transplant when he was seventeen, and a second one almost thirty years later (2015).
He said Nog defying Ferengi tradition to join Star Fleet paralleled his pursuit of acting as a career.
He participated in a popular comedy sketch, ‘Ferengi Family Hour,’ at Star Trek conventions.
