TV Series
    (December 19, 2005-May 28, 2010)
    Based on an Australian series
Contestants eliminate suitcases numbered 1-26, each potentially containing the contestant's cash prize, while 'The Banker' makes cash offers for the contestant to quit the game.
    Hosted by Howie Mandel
NBC originally had little faith in the series, airing it as a five day special on Christmas week (one of the lowest-rated weeks of the year for television) in 2005.
The chances of anyone actually winning the top prize is slim.
Any time a contestant is about to make a big decision, they air a commercial break.
You never get to see the identity of 'The Banker.'
Donald Trump made a guest appearance on the show.
Despite airing on the lowest-rated week of the year, the show did well in the ratings.
NBC eventually picked it up as a regular series.
    The show is very suspenseful.
It is the first successful prime-time network game show since 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire'
Howie Mandel's hosting has been praised by die-hard game show fans.
The models are nice to look at.
