Member of Mlada Bosna, a movement dedicate to freeing Bosnia of Austrian rule
Joined the Black Hand society, which favored a union between Bosnia and Serbia
Assassinated Austrian archduke Franz Ferdinand (June 28, 1914)
Sentenced to twenty years in prison (1914)

Why he might be annoying:

He assassinated Archduke Ferdinand and his wife in Sarajevo while they were driving to a hospital.
After killing Ferdinand, he tried to shoot himself but was stopped by onlookers.
He later tried to kill himself with a cyanide capsule, but just got ill and vomited the poison up.
The assassination sparked the beginning of World War I, as the Austrian Empire then declared war on Serbia.
He was saved from the death sentence only because of his age.

Why he might not be annoying:

He died of tuberculosis in prison (1918).
He strongly believed in the liberation of his country.
Europe was on the brink of war in 1914 and World War I would probably have started with or without Ferdinand's murder.
