Why he might be annoying:

    He was considered as somewhat a rebel in his family.
    He made headlines in the rival 'Sydney Morning Herald' after he was photographed asleep on a sofa at a press conference.
    He dropped out of Harvard.
    His online music website Whammo received mixed results and was shut down shortly thereafter.
    He unsuccessfully tried to persuade his father to buy the internet company Pointcast.
    Shortly after buying 51% of the share of Mushroom Records, they company's assets plummeted rapidly in the ensuing years.
    His appointment as CEO of a stake in British Sky British was seen as nepotism between him and his father.
    In 2010, he and his associate Rebekah Brooks stormed into British newspaper The Independent's headquarters to complain about an advertisement in the newspaper which read 'Rupert Murdoch won't decide this election – you will!'
    He and his father came under intense and scathing scrutiny after their tabloid newspaper 'News of the World' was shut down abruptly in the wake of allegations of a phone hacking scandal (July 19,2011).
    He oddly resembles close friend and colleague Peter Orszag.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was considered the smartest among the four Murdoch children.
    With university friends Brian Brater and Jarret Myer, he backed the establishment of Rawkus Records, an independent hip hop record label.
    He drew comic strips for the 'Harvard Lampoon.'
    He was viewed as the heir apparent to his father's conglomerate empire.
    His wife Kathryn Hufschmid works for the Clinton Climate Initiative.
