Football Player
    (September 6, 1975-July 6, 2000)
    Born in Franklin, Tennessee
    Died in Charlotte, North Carolina
Running back for the Carolina Panthers (1997-99)
He was benched for one game for nearly missing a flight to Dallas prior to a game against the Cowboys (1998).
During that same season, he was benched after a Charlotte area TV station caught him grabbing his crotch during a touchdown celebration.
He was reportedly broke at the time of his death, as he told his father he was attempting to unload some of his personal assets in order to receive cash.
He was both emotionally and physically abusive towards his wife, which prompted her to react by shooting him to death.
The Panthers grew tired of his antics and traded him to the Indianapolis Colts months before his death.
He was arrested for illegal drug and firearms possession (2000).
His arrest for drug and firearms possession and eventual death were part of the team's major public relations disaster during the 1999-2000 off-season as the team was in the midst of another controversy, following the arrest and conviction of Rae Carruth.
He was considered one of the best running backs with natural speed coming out of high school.
He was one of the first players from Lane College to make it to the NFL.
He made the Panthers as an undrafted free agent.
He accumulated 2,000 rushing yards with the Panthers, then a franchise record (1997).
He held the Panthers franchise record most yards rushed in a single game (since broken).
