He started a chain of ice cream/frozen yogurt stores during the 1970s in Hawaii that didn't do too well.
His left hand is deformed and he went to all kinds of lengths to hide that fact on 'M*A*S*H.'

He was the only person from the movie 'M*A*S*H' to reprise his role on the TV series.
He was licensed by the State of California to look after wounded animals.
He's a talented wildlife artist.
His character's love of animals on 'M*A*S*H' was based on his own.
