She obscured the details of her early years, so Austin, Texas, and Montreal, Quebec, have also been given as her birthplace.
Her most successful work, the 'Million Dollar Mystery' serial, has been lost.
She wrote poetry as a hobby, but kept the results secret.

Why she might not be annoying:

She was discovered when her friend Mary Pickford invited her to the studio to watch a film being made and she was given a bit part.
She did her own stunts.
She died from injuries sustained in a car crash when the brakes on her auto failed.
