Why he might be annoying:

    That’s one L, not two.
He didn’t consider himself to be an exceptional academe — especially when he disobeyed a headmaster’s order to cut his hair.
    He smokes.
The American filmmaker behind ‘Glenn Tilbrook: One for the Road’ (based on a 2001 solo tour) expected to be greeted by a luxury tour bus and super hotel rooms; instead, she got a motorhome and camping sites.
While Squeeze performed ‘Cradle to the Grave’ on a national news talk show (2016), he altered the lyrics of the final verse just to sock it to David Cameron.

Why he might not be annoying:

His parents separated when he was five, while his older brother left home some three years later, leaving him to effectively raise himself for the better part of his youth.
He regarded Elvis Presley, Fats Domino, and Jimi Hendrix as core inspirations.
Compare his pitchy vocals and polished guitar work with the deep snarl and rough guitar work of bandmate Chris Difford.
The art cover for ‘Down in the Valley’ features a red-and-blue take on the identy of the men’s football club he regularly supports (Charlton Athletic FC).
Having grown up in a council house, his only issue with social housing is lack of upkeep.
