Hockey Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

    He was a journeyman player.
Despite being an assistant coach with the North Stars for eight seasons, he wasn't even considered for the team's head coaching job when the position became vacant.
He became a first time father at the age of 40.
Prior to playing with the North Stars, he played a total of 22 games in three seasons with two different teams.
His contribution to the 1972 Summit Series was overshadowed by the fact he threatened to attack a referee with his stick, which almost cost Canada the victory.

Why he might not be annoying:

He established himself as a regular for the North Stars, shortly after his trade to the team.
Prior to his ejection from Game 8 of the Summit Series, he defied the odds and played alongside future Hall of Fame forward Phil Esposito.
Prior to his retirement, he ranked among top five scorers in North Stars franchise history.
He served as the hockey director at Shattuck-St. Mary's Prep School where his son, Zach Pariseattended.
Prior to 1989, he held the NHL record for the fastest overtime goal scored in a Stanley Cup Playoffs game (11 seconds in 1975).
