His upset victory over Ivan Lendl at Wimbledon inspired a bunch of punning 'Cash Is Better Than a Czech' headlines.
He said, 'I was probably depressed for a good half of my career.'
He abused alcohol, cocaine and ecstasy.
He had two kids out of wedlock with Norwegian model Anne-Britt Kristiansen.
He claims to be a 'qualified tarot card reader.'
His website sells autographed headbands for £25.

Why he might not be annoying:

After his Wimbledon victory, he climbed through the stands to embrace his family.
He also won Wimbledon titles on the junior and legends (over 45) tours, becoming the first player to do so.
He said thoughts of his children kept him from comitting suicide when his depression and drug use were at their worst.
He went to rehab (1999).
He was reportedly stiffed by Greg Rusedski, who refused to pay for six months of coaching.
He said if he could have dinner with any three people from history, he would pick Jesus, Buddha and Jimi Hendrix.
