Why he might be annoying:

    He sported a mullet early in his career.
    He played on five different teams during his career.
    He played two separate stints with the Leafs and Ducks.
    He missed out on earning a Stanley Cup ring with the Ducks, as he was released by the team early in the season (2006-07).
    His Canucks teams struggled to find consistency during his early tenure with the team.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was one of the few bright spots on a dreadful Islanders team during the mid to late 1990's.
    He found ways to keep the atmosphere loose amongst his peers in the locker room during his playing career.
    He guided the Portland Winterhawks to the Ed Chynoweth Cup and a berth in the Memorial Cup as the team's interim coach, following the suspension of Mike Johnston (2013).
    His work in Portland earned him the head coaching job in Utica the following season.
    He was promoted as the Canucks head coach as a result of his familiarity with the team's front office and prospects.
