The Resume

    (February 4, 1972- )
    Born in Orange County, California
    2008 McCain/Palin Campaign Senior Advisor
Politcal commentator for assorted cable news shows
Portrayed by Sarah Paulson in HBO's 'Game Change' (2012)
Selected with Rosie Perez to be the newest co-hosts on 'The View' (Sept. 2014)

Why she might be annoying:

She was chosen to fill in Elizabeth Hasselbeck’s slot as the token conservative on 'The View.'
She was apparently chosen because her style was adverse to Hasselbeck’s style.
During a 2013 appearance on ‘The View,’ she compared Republicans opposing the Affordable Care Act to two-year olds running into traffic.
Her selection was perplexing, as she was virtually unknown to non-political junkies.
She and fellow McCain campaign staffer, Steve Schmidt, gained notoriety for frequently badmouthing Sen. John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin after the ticket’s loss in 2008.
Many see her vocal criticism of McCain/Palin as an attempt to cover for her own mistakes in the campaign.
Its no coincidence that she and Schmidt receive the most favorable portrayals in the HBO film on the 2008 election, ‘Game Change,’ since they were the only two who agreed to be interviewed.
Despite the fact that ‘Game Change’ has been proven inaccurate, Wallace still claimed that the film was ‘true enough to make me squirm.’
The film claims that she could not bring herself to vote in the election but in reality she admits to voting for the opposing ticket against McCain.
The second installment of her ‘Eighteen Acres’ series, ‘It’s Classified,’ is about a mentally ill female Vice President (my do we have an axe to grind).

Why she might not be annoying:

Despite being the only woman on Sen. McCain’s senior campaign staff, she claims that she was not consulted about the selection of Gov. Sarah Palin for VP, resulting in a bumpy transition process.
She claims to have been characterized poorly in Gov. Palin’s autobiography, ‘Going Rogue.’
When reports began to leak about dissension within the McCain campaign, she issued a statement saying, 'If people want to throw me under the bus, my personal belief is that the most honorable thing to do is just lie there.'
She was appointed White House Communications director by President George W. Bush in 2005.
She received a BA in Mass Communications from the University of California in Berkeley in 1994.
She served a brief stint as an on-air reporter in California.
husband may have been responsible for the campaign leaks she has been accused of.
She was a frequent guest on the Rachel Maddow Show.
