    Executive producer of the TV series ‘New York Undercover’ and the film ‘Strictly Business’

Why he might be annoying:

    He dropped out of college.
    He fathered a son out of wedlock with attorney Wendy Credle.
    His explanation for why he stopped rapping and became a record executive: ‘I told LL Cool J how dope my record was and how wack his was. LL’s sold 700,000, mine sold 70,000.’
    He ended up working for his former intern, Sean ‘Puffy’ Combs.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He formed Uptown to release records by Heavy D, and the Boyz after Def Jam refused to sign them to a contract.
    He also launched the careers of Guy, Jodeci, Al B. Sure!, and Mary J. Blige.
    He said, ‘My goal is to bring real black America — just as it is, not watered down — to people everywhere through music, through films, through everything we do.’
    He received a Cultural Creator Award from BET.
