Center for the Detroit Red Wings (1965-69, 1979-81), Montreal Canadiens (1969-77) and the Pittsburgh Penguins (1977-79)

Why he might be annoying:

He lived in the shadow of his older brother, Frank.
He was nicknamed ‘Little M’ as a result.
He bounced back and forth between the NHL and the minors early in his career and again at the end of it.
His contributions with the Canadiens don’t get mentioned as he was overshadowed by others on the roster.
He came out of retirement three years after his initial one to play a handful of games with Toledo of the IHL.
