    The Campaign for Commercial-Free Television filed a complaint with the FTC alleging misleading advertising by Baby Einstein (2006).
    A University of Washington study concluded that watching Baby Einstein and similar videos had detrimental effects on language development in children ages 6 to 18 months (2007).
    She made an incongruous appearance as President Bush's guest at the 2007 State of the Union address, alongside subway hero Wesley Autrey and several Iraq veterans.

Why she might not be annoying:

    A business she started in her basement grew into a $10-million company in only three years.
    Royalties from her company placed Albert Einstein in the top five on Forbes' list of the highest-earning dead celebs.
    She was named Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young and Working Mother.
    After selling Baby Einstein, she joined with John Walsh on 'The Safe Side' to instruct elementary-age kids about safety around strangers.
    She survived breast cancer.
