The Resume

    (September 24, 1894-January 5, 1979)
    Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Voice of various early Looney Tunes (including Papa Bear and Colonel Shuffle, uncredited) and (Pegleg) Pete (Disney, Silly Symphonies)
Film appearances include numerous Our Gang, Three Stooges, and Marx Brothers shorts

Why he might be annoying:

His hoarse baritone stood sharply in contrast to his 5 ft 2 in (1,57 m) build.
While he was tapped to voice one of the villains in the Ruby-Spears take on Plastic Man, he had to bow out due to illness.
Over a five-decade run, he had a surprisingly large quantity of uncredited roles and deleted scenes, live or animated.

Why he might not be annoying:

On the vaudeville circuit – where he began at age 19 – he directed several small shows.
While with the smaller production companies, he wrote and acted in several more shorts.
Once sound pictures became a thing, he was recommended for the Disney variant of the Big Bad Wolf by Pinto Colvig (the first voice of Goofy and Pluto).
He had only one child in his 64-year marriage.
