Why Australian Football League (AFL) might be annoying:

    They wear stripy uniforms
The game attracts lazy, beer swilling, meat pie eating, singlet wearing yobbos.
The game gives the yobbos an excuse to laze around in front of the TV while their wives do all the housework and fetch them their beer, meat pies and Winfield cigarettes.
There's no protection gear like American gridiron, causing far more injuries.
They introduced those horrible stubby footy shorts which are so skimpy that they look like male hot pants in which men's asses hang out at the bottoms. Many Aussie blokes wear stubby shorts during summer along with a singlet and thong.
There's recently been a new PAY TV channel added called 'The Fox Footy Channel' which is 24 hour non-stop footy, which gives yobbos an excuse to laze around the TV and get pissed on beer.

Why Australian Football League (AFL) might not be annoying:

AFL is loved by many Aussie celebrities including Gary McDonald who follows the Carlton and Molly Meldrum who follows St Kilda.
Seeing that AFL doesn't have all the protective gear like gridiron, it shows that Aussie footballers are real tough and are not afraid to take a real thrashing.
Over 2000 Americans play in the AFL.
AFL is one of a number of Australian sports that demonstrates Aussie pride.
Two Man Band's AFL TV commercial song 'Up There Cazaley' became so popular that it was released on record and made the Australian national top 10 charts.
AFL has inspired Chris Franklin to write a funny rap song called 'The Footy Rap.'
