    Wrote the autobiographies, 'Blood and Guts' and 'A Warrior's Way' and produced the documentary, 'All I Know is Pain'
    Nicknamed, 'The Shadow'
    Influential founder of the 'High Intensity Training' method of bodybuilding

Why he might be annoying:

    He used steroids.
    He spent six months in reform school as a teenager.
    He endorses alternative medicine and opposes vaccinations.
    He is a 9/11 conspiracy theorist.
    His training methods, although successful, may very well have been the cause of the litany of injuries that plagued him throughout his career.

Why he might not be annoying:

    Flex Magazine named him the fifth greatest bodybuilder of all time.
    He avoided publicity, not even doing interviews in his heyday, letting his performances speak for themselves.
    Since retiring from competitive bodybuilding, he has started and sold three successful bodybuilding-related companies.
    Percentage wise, he is the most successful professional bodybuilder of all time: in twenty professional contests he won 17, came in second twice, and in his first contest came in seventh.
    He suffered many injuries during his career and won the 1997 Mr. Olympia while nursing a torn bicep.
    He is retired and living in Spain with his wife, a professional model and retired bodybuilder herself.
