    Besides college football, he was also a pizza delivery boy.
    He was redshirted during his first year at Wisconsin in 2008.
    He was part of the Badgers team that lost the 2011 Rose Bowl to Texas Christian University.
    He chose to forgo his senior year in college in order to join the NFL.
    He appeared in commercials promoting Yahoo!'s fantasy football service.
    Jon Gruden referred to him as 'J.J. Swatt.'

    In high school, he lettered in football, basketball, track and field, and baseball.
    He was also honored as Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Athlete of the Year.
    He was the 2010 recipient of the Lott Trophy.
    During the 2012 NFL season, he became the first player in NFL history to record 16.5 sacks and tip 15 passes in a single season.
    Many of his coaches praise him for both his work ethic and humor.
    He held a softball tournament to raise funds for afterschool athletic programs.
