She finished 4th place in Half-pipe in her only World Championships appearance (2013).

She did a backside 900 as she was the first female snowboarder to do so.
She was the third female snowboarder from the U.S. to win an Olympic Gold Medal in Half-pipe.
She donates her time to Boarding for Breast Cancer.
Wherever she travels, she likes to collect refrigerator magnets.
She is the namesake of 'Kaitlyn's Bowl,' a black diamond run on Bald Mountain near Sun Valley, Idaho.
She was forced to retire from snowboarding after she found out she has spinal stenosis since her birth.
