Why he might be annoying:

    He allegedly laundered campaign contributions.
    He did not take federal stimulus funds to expand unemployment insurance.
    He used his power to benefit himself and his family.
    He thought people who were offended by Virginia’s confederacy celebration month were ‘misguided.’
    He has an effeminate name.
    He was accused of personally benefiting from Hurricane Katrina relief.
    He came under fire for praising Citizen's Councils in his town of Yazoo City and said that he just didn't remember things being that bad in Mississippi as far as civil rights were concerned.
    He created a media and legal firestorm when he granted clemency to, pardoned or early released 208 inmates, including 21 who had been convicted of murder, as one of his last acts as Mississippi Governor (January 10, 2012).

Why he might not be annoying:

    He took over as Chairman of the Republican Governors Association after Mark Sanford resigned.
    He was sucessfully elected as governor, even though his bid for senate was not.
    He ran Mississipi's census at the age of 22.
