Teams were the Baltimore Terrapins, Brooklyn Tip Tops, Buffalo Blues, Chicago Whales, Indianapolis Hoosiers (Newark Peppers), Kansas City Packers, Pittsburgh Rebels and St. Louis Terriers
Champions were Indianapolis (1914) and Chicago (1915)
President was James A. Gilmore

Why Federal League might be annoying:

What kinds of goofy team names are the Tip Tops or the Terriers?
Right after the Indianapolis Hoosiers won the 1914 title, they left to become the Newark Peppers.
It is probably more known for its litigant activities than anything else.
It got sued by the American and National Leagues since it was signing away some of their players.
Its Baltimore franchise sued the AL and NL, complaining about not being compensated after the Federal League was bought out.
That case led to the Supreme Court ruling that Major League Baseball is exempt from antitrust laws.
The defunct USFL was compared to it.

Why Federal League might not be annoying:

Both of its years saw extremely close pennant races.
The 1915 race saw Chicago edge out St. Louis for first place by .001 of a percentage point.
Hall of Famer 'Three Finger' Brown played in the league.
It was the last remaining officially recognized 'major' league that folded.
Wrigley Field was originally built for the Chicago Whales. It is still used by the Chicago Cubs over 90 years later.
