    Despite his reputation of being a dominant pitcher, his record was 39-37 in his first three seasons as a starter.
    He was never inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, despite his credentials.
    He spent the majority of his career on an underachieving Indians team.
    He never played on a World Series championship team.
    He holds the Indians franchise record for most career losses.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was voted one of the top 100 players in the history of the Cleveland Indians.
    He made the American League all-star team for four consecutive seasons (1934-37).
    He pitched in the first game at the old Cleveland Municipal Stadium (1933).
    He is the first person in baseball history to have both a 20 year playing and 20 year coaching career.
    Joe DiMaggio considered him the toughest pitcher he ever faced in his career.
