Football Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He had a reputation of being a journeyman player in his 22 seasons in the NFL.
Many of the quarterbacks who replaced him as starters went on to be famous such as Joe Montana, Steve Young and John Elway.
He offered solid, but unspectacular, performances before being replaced.
    He was extremely injury prone.
He coached an AFL team to an 0-5 record.
He has the dubious distinction of being the oldest player to be in a Super Bowl roster despite not playing at all in the game (1999).

Why he might not be annoying:

He set an NFL single-season record for lowest interception percentage (1990).
He led the NFL in pass attempts and completions (1979).
He played with an exposed metal pin sticking out of his finger in a Chiefs playoff victory.
In a Dolphins game against the New York Giants, he returned at halftime despite being bloodied and bruised.
He led the Chiefs to two playoff berths.
