The Resume

    (April 24, 1989- )
    Born in Montgomery, Alabama
Birth name is Katherine Elizabeth Webb
    Also known as Katherine Webb-McCarron
American model, beauty queen, and television personality
Ranked in the Top 15 for the title of Miss Georgia USA (2007)
Crowned Miss Alabama USA in 2012
Finished in the Top 10 of the Miss USA 2012 competition
Came to national attention at the 2013 BCS National Championship Game when she appeared on the broadcast image while sitting in the audience (Jan. 01 2013)
YouTube video of her appearance at the game went viral, garnering over 3 million views within a week
Acquired 173,000 Twitter followers within 24 hours
Married Cincinnati Bengals quarterback, AJ McCarron, in Orange Beach, Alabama (July 12, 2014)

Why she might be annoying:

    She was nicknamed 'Miss Twitterverse.'
She caught heat for being an Auburn U grad/Tigers fan but dating an Alabama Crimson Tide player.
She appeared in a sexually suggestive Carl's Jr. Super Bowl ad, which had little point other than to spoof her overnight stadium fame.
The day after her discovery, the term 'AJ McCarron girlfriend' was in the top highest trending phrases on Google, with over 1 million searches.
Brent Musburger sparked a firestorm when he referred to her broadcast image as a 'beautiful' 'lovely lady.' also joking to McCarron and Kirk Herbstreit, 'you quarterbacks get all the good-looking women.'
While the comments were clearly harmless, that a fifty year age difference existed between the two led to predictable complaints of sexism and of his acting like a 'dirty old man.'
She warranted inevitable comparisons with Jenn Sterger, whose career was similarly launched by Musburger when he complimented her looks at a 2005 Florida State-Miami game.
Even more predictable was the throng of horny athletes tweeting inappropriate messages and even phone numbers, in some cases. Arizona Cardinal Darrell Dockett deleted a tweet with his phone number inviting her to a Miami strip club, claiming that he thought he had sent a direct message (not helping).
She came under fire for 'accidentally' favoriting a questionably racial tweet from AJ McCarron's mother directed at Florida State quarterback, Jameis Winston (Jan. 6, 2014).

Why she might not be annoying:

She was dubbed the Helen of Troy in American Football by media outlets (except her face 'launched a thousand tweets').
She was a victim of bullying in High School.
She put her pageant career on hold until after she finished college.
She was a Chick-fil-A training manager in Columbus before becoming a model.
She traveled to India to work with a missionary group opening a dental clinic.
Her instant fame led to lucrative gigs covering the Super Bowl for Inside Edition and judging Miss USA competitions with Donald Trump.
She 'Twitter slapped' Darrell Dockett and several other athletes who tweeted sexist remarks.
She defended Musburger from criticism, saying 'If he had worded it different and... commented on our body parts, it would have been completely different. I didn’t take any offense to it, because I think it’s okay for a man to tell a woman that she’s beautiful, no matter what age.'
McCarron, when he found out LeBron James was one of the athletes 'following' his girlfriend, said 'No way - maaaan, I'm gonna tweet him and I'm gonna get a follow. That's messed up. Hey, I guess she's more famous than me!'
She slammed accusations of racism by addressing a Twitter follower saying you don't 'accidentally' favorite a message, tweeting 'Oh yes you do. The friggin buttons are right under the actual tweet! Happens all the time' (Jan. 7, 2014).
She was subjected to skinny-shaming and cyber-bullying, on social media, for being 'too thin' when a selfie of her in a revealing black bikini went viral (Feb. 2014).
