    He was adopted at birth.
    His biological father was killed in World War II.
    He produced the Sex Pistols' earliest recordings.
    He had a top 20 British hit with 'Motorbikin'.'
    As a session musician, he played with Dusty Springfield, Brian Eno, Donovan, Elton John, and dozens of other artists.
    He worked as a music journalist and the music editor for 'Details' magazine.
    He was eventually reunited with his biological mother.
