    Head of the German Labour Front or 'DAF' (1933 - 1945)
    Arrested at the end of the war, sent to Nuremberg to be tried for war crimes
    Committed suicide after being given his indictment
    He was well known for his drunkenness, this often caused embarrassment for the Nazi Party as he would show up at rallies and other functions to give speeches while inebriated.
    The methods his organization used to procure slave laborers for German corporations was notoriously harsh.
    He was well known for his power abuse and mismanagement of DAF funds, most of which he took for himself.
    An anti-semite, he supported the mistreatment of the Jews and was also aware of the efforts made by the SS to exterminate them.
    A member of Hitler's inner circle, he was loyal to the Fuhrer until the end of the war.
    At the end of the war he was captured by the 101st Airborne Division under an assumed name. He tried to commit suicide when they realized he was Robert Ley.
    He successfully committed suicide in his jail cell at Nuremberg by shoving his underwear into his mouth and hanging himself from a pipe using a towel as a noose.
    He had been a pilot during WWI, and was shot down over France where he spent time as a prisoner of war.
    The Volkswagen was realized thanks in part to the DAF's efforts.
    He had a doctorate and worked as a chemist prior to his involvement with the Nazis.
    He was married twice and both times his wives committed suicide.
