Why she might be annoying:

    She appeared in tobacco ads.
Her ass was kind of big.
John Wayne was arrested in Mexico after having a bar fight with a Mexican Army general over who could dance with her.
She went uncredited in most of her movie roles.
She once played a character named Mitzi LaRue.
She accidentally burned her house down.
Her legs were once ludicrously insured for $1,000,000.
She believed in astrology and described herself as a cross between an Aries and a Pisces.
She collected butterflies and filled several books with the corpses of the poor little things.

Why she might not be annoying:

She always spoke highly of her co-workers, especially the Stooges and Lugosi.
Her first Three Stooges short, Disorder in the Court is believed to have been the biggest hit of all their shorts in theaters and is still one of the all-time favorites.
Her dance scene in Disorder in the Court was considered risque in its time.
When she signed with Fox Pictures, she was paid (for the time) the staggering amount of $150 dollars a week!
Her parents refused to let her try out for the 1932 Olympics even though she held the girl's world high school long jump record at the time and also refused to allow her to take a job with the Ziegfeld Follies because she was underage.
She sued Donald Trump when he tried to evict her and other tenants from their rent-controlled apartments after buying their apartment building. Not only did she win but received $750,000 in compensation. At the time she described Trump as a 'greedy slob' but later got to know and like him and described him as 'handsome' and 'wonderful.'
Despite some very stormy moments, she and her husband, actor Sidney Blackmer remained married for over forty years until his death and while they were dating, Blackmer was so in love he would walk her dog.
She lived to be 92 before succumbing to pneumonia.
