    Most of her film roles were those of a femme fatale.
    She was the most famous actress of German cinema during the late 1920s/early 1930s.
    After her suicide, legal action was taken against her doctor for poor medical treatment.
    The final years of her life were the basis for Rainer Werner Fassbinder's 1982 movie 'Veronika Voss.'
