The Resume

    (1957- )
    Born in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts
Former state director for the California branch of Donald Wildmon's American Family Association
    Founded Abiding Truth Ministries
Wrote 'The Pink Swastika' (1996), 'Seven Steps to Recruit-Proof Your Child: A Parent's Guide to Protecting Children from Homosexuality and the 'Gay' Movement' (1998) and 'Why and How to Defeat the 'Gay' Movement' (2000)

Why he might be annoying:

He wrote 'Homosexuality is biologically (and to varying degrees morally) equivalent to pedophilia, sado-masochism, bestiality and many other forms of deviant behavior.'
He blames gays for Nazi Germany, the genocide in Rwanda, and just about any other evil he can think of.
He assaulted a woman filming him at an Oregon Citizens Alliance event, throwing her against a wall and dragging her across the floor (1991).
He met with Ugandan lawmakers to discuss their anti-homosexuality bill that included the death penalty (2010).
He bragged that his campaign was a 'nuclear bomb against the gay agenda in Uganda,' then immediately tried to distance himself from the law when it drew international condemnation.
His response to the murder of gay activist David Kato was, 'There is indeed evil in Uganda today, but it is not the reaction of Christian and Moslem citizens to the rape of their culture. It is the pink-gloved hand of western powers that are cutting the throat of Africa’s most God-fearing country.'
He settled in Springfield, Massachusetts, opened a coffee shop and hired a convicted child molester as the manager (2011).
He said that although the manager had admitted to 'a rough past before he became a Christian,' he saw no need to run a criminal background check.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a homeless alcoholic and drug user before becoming 'born again' and turning his life around.
The molester he hired had sex with an 11-year-old girl, so it's not like the dude was gay or anything really serious.
He explained his gay Nazis theory in a hilarious Daily Show interview.
He calls himself 'one of the most knowledgable and articulate opponents of the homosexual agenda in America,' which if true, means GLBT equality is going to be a lot easier to achieve than anyone thought.
