Why Politically Incorrect might be annoying:

    It originally taped in New York City, but moved to Los Angeles to tape at CBS Television City (more celebs).
    Maher’s statement on Black Tuesday was interpreted as an attack on American soldiers instead of on military policy.
    Politically conservative ABC, which owns the Disney/Touchstone corporations, was so offended by his comments on George W. Bush that it pulled the plug despite ratings being as strong as ever.

Why Politically Incorrect might not be annoying:

    Sometimes he would interview a single guest; most times, he had four.
    The panelists represented every culture, background, expertise, standpoint or lifestyle one could imagine.
    Barbara Olson was scheduled to appear shortly before the 9/11 attack (2001). To honor her memory, Bill taped an entire week with only three panelists per episode (the fourth chair being empty).
