He wears a cowboy hat that looks like it was crushed on the highway.
He frequently runs back & forth on stage during performances.
His success in Sugarland is completely overshadowed by that of Jennifer Nettles.
The majority of his Billy Pilgrim work is extremely hard to find.

He writes a lot of his own songs.
He doesn't mind playing second fiddle to Jennifer in Sugarland.
He plays both the guitar and mandolin.
Along with songwriting and performing, he has also produced numerous records.
