    Designated hitter/first baseman for the Kansas City Royals (2007-14), Oakland Athletics (2015-16) and the New York Yankees (2016)
    AL Silver Slugger Award winner (2012)
    Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter Award winner (2012)

Why he might be annoying:

    He turned down a baseball scholarship at the University of Florida.
    He was viewed as being selfish and arrogant by former teammates.
    He was obsessed with padding his own statistics, instead of being a team player.
    He was chunky for a baseball player, which earned him the nickname 'Country Breakfast.'
    He was considered a rat in the Royals clubhouse.
    He wore out his welcome in Kansas City, to the point where the Royals opted to limit his playing time in order not to give him a qualifying offer.
    His tenure with the A's was remembered for him being on the receiving end of a concussion, after he attempted to rat a teammate out for not wearing the shoes supplied by the team.
    His tenure with the Yankees only lasted 12 games, before he was released outright.
