    Assistant head coach, defensive line coach and recruting coordinator for the University of Southern California (1998-2004, 2010-13) and the University of Tennessee (2009)
    Interim head coach for the University of Southern California (2013)
    Head coach at Ole Miss (2005-07) and Louisiana State University

Why he might be annoying:

    He speaks with a thick Cajun accent.
    He is divorced and remarried.
    He filed for divorce from his second wife in the weeks after he guided LSU to the national title (2020).
    He was considered a coaching nomad, prior to landing at LSU.
    His personal reputation took a hit after he had a restraining order filed against him by a woman, who claimed he attacked her (1991).
    He followed it up by getting arrested a year later for his role in a bar brawl (1992).
    He was charged with assault and battery as a result of both altercations.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was credited with recruiting future sports-entertainment star and actor Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson to the University of Miami football program.
    He was a member of the coaching staff at the University of Miami football team that won two NCAA National championships under Jimmy Johnson (1989, 1991).
    He was able to repair his reputation in the years following his arrests.
    He credits Paul Pasqualoni for giving him a second chance at being part of the NCAA coaching ranks.
    He was considered one of the top recruiters during his tenure at USC, and served as the recruiting coordinator for the football team during his first stint at the school.
    He guided LSU to the school's first National championship in 12 years (2019).
