He was originally selected by the New York Giants, but was released during training camp.
He spent three years mainly as a backup and a special teams player.
He often looks disheveled and in need of a shower.
Why he might not be annoying
When fellow Texans receiver Andre Johnson became injured, he had 40 catches for 512 yards while also posting a career high game at Jacksonville in week 6 with 12 catches for 160 yards.
In the 2009 season, he and Johnson became a powerful dual wide receiver tandem for quarterback Matt Schaub.
He married his college sweetheart.
Texans coach Gary Kubiak compared Walter's agility to that of Ed McCaffrey (whom Kubiak worked with as offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos).
