The Resume

    Born in Australia
    Anti-vaccine activist
    Co-wrote 'Vaccination Roulette'
Wrote the children's book 'Melanie's Marvelous Measles' (2012)

Why she might be annoying:

She blamed her oldest son's death on being vaccinated, but the doctors treating him suspected he suffered from a rare genetic condition, Alexander's disease.
She claims her three other children are alive because they weren't vaccinated; however, they have a different father than her first child, which would keep them from inheriting the same genetic disease.
In her children's book, she claims that a disease that kills over 100,000 people each year is 'quite benign' and 'beneficial to the body.'
She claims vaccines are ineffective, although deaths from measles dropped 75% after a vaccine for it became widespread, which strikes us as pretty effective.
She does not offer a braille version of the book, which is a shame since kids who go blind from measles will be unable to read about how wonderful the disease was.
Her book's title closely resembles 'George's Marvelous Medicine' by Roald Dahl, which, if deliberate, is incredibly tasteless given that Dahl's daughter Olivia died from the measles.

Why she might not be annoying:

She also wrote a children's book called 'Don't Bully Billy,' so she is apparently capable of non-nutbag writing.
'Melanie's Marvelous Measles' inspired a flood of impressively sarcastic reviews on Amazon.
Her book has lots of sequel potential: 'Ernie's Excellent Encephalitis,' 'Cora's Comfy Coma,' 'Davey's Delightful Death,' etc.
