    (August 8, 1948- )
    Born in London, United Kingdom
Broke into Buckingham Palace and entered Queen Elizabeth’s bedroom (July 9, 1982)
Hospitalized for six months for psychiatric evaluation (July, 1982-January, 1983)
At the time of the break-in, he was out on bail on charges of stealing a car.
He set off multiple alarms at Buckingham Palace that were ignored.
The Queen twice used a bedside phone to call for security, but no one responded.
He eventually was arrested when two officers on patrol duty happened on the scene.
The revelation that the Queen and Prince Philip slept in separate bedrooms inspired plenty of tabloid speculation on the royal couple’s sex life.
He tried to cash in on his fifteen minutes of fame by covering the Sex Pistols’ ‘God Save the Queen.’
He received a three month suspended sentence for assaulting a police officer (1984).
He was arrested for indecent exposure (1987).
He spent four years in prison after being convicted of dealing heroin (1997-2001).
    His father was abusive.
His mother said, ‘He thinks so much of the Queen. I can imagine him just wanting to simply talk and say hello and discuss his problems.’
The Queen left the bedroom and found a chambermaid who pithily summed up the situation: ‘Bloody hell, ma’am. He shouldn’t be in there.’
Elizabeth later said she was less scared of Fagan than the prospect of Prince Philip arriving: ‘I knew that all hell would break loose if that happened.’
