Why they might be annoying:

    Pete did drugs experimenting with heroin and abusing cocaine.
    They like to drink a lot of alcohol and get drunk.
    The rest of the band didn't let Pete on their European show after there were constant disagreements between him and the band.
    Pete Doherty was sent to prison for for burgling his band mates Carl's house. He stole an antique guitar, laptop computer, mouth organ and books.
    Pete has been charged with blackmail and Robbery (February 4, 2005).

    They're part of the garage rock revival which involves The Strokes, The White Stripes, The Hives, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Doves, The Datsuns and The Vines.
    NME Magazine crowned them the 'Best New Band in Britain.'
    They performed at the 'Coachella Festival' along with artists including Red Hot Chili Peppers, The White Stripes, , Blur, Queens of the Stone Age and Interpol (April 2003).
    'I Get Along,' 'Up The Bracket,' 'What A Waster' and 'Time For Heroes' were all big hits on the UK charts and were minor hits on the US charts.
    They recorded 'Up The Bracket' with Mick Jones, a former member of The Clash.
    They are influenced by The Clash, The Kinks, The Yardbirds and The Smiths.
    The kicked Pete out of the band so he could get help dealing with his drug issues.
    Gary Powell drummed for the New York Dolls.
